Kent died at his home after a courageous battle with leukemia at the age of 36.
Kent married Pamela Barker on June 9, 1969 in the Logan Temple. He received his Bachelor and Master's degree from Utah State University. Kent was a coach and teacher at Altamont High School and at the Intermountain School in Brigham City. He was greatly loved and respected by his players and co-workers. He had also received special recognition for his work in the Special Olympics Program and had served in many positions in his church.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela, one son, Malone H. and four daughters, Amy DeNece, Dawn, JaNell and Wendy. Also his mother, Nellie H. Molgard and brothers, Max H., Jack H. and sister Kay (Morrell) Peterson and grandfather, Lawrence Molgard.
