Gregory Fonnesbeck

LOGAN - Gregory Fonnesbeck passed away at the age of 64 in Logan, Utah on August 31, 2010. He was born in Brigham City, Utah on September 24, 1945 to Verdun and Leone Fonnesbeck. He graduated from Box Elder High School in 1963 and Ogden Barber School in l964. He married Nancy Moyes in l965. They resided in Eugene, OR and later divorced.
Greg loved the outdoors and spent many hours searching for arrowheads, water fowl hunting and fishing in the Northern, Howell Valley and Logan area. He loved spending time on the family farm enjoying many hours of four wheeling with his family. Gregory had a passion for collecting family pictures and genealogy. He received many blue ribbons for his canned deer meat and canned fish. His family will always remember his sweet spirit and kind heart. He was a member of the LDS Church.
He worked as a barber for several years. He then became a welder working in Eugene, OR, and Ogden, UT. For the last 16 years he was employed for Central Valley Machine in Logan, Utah until his retirement in 2009.
He is survived by his daughter, Deborah (Troy) Harmston, Roy, UT; and his two grandchildren: Brittany and Austin. He is also survived by his brother, Bruce (Dixie), Boise, ID; Vicki (Ted) Lauritzen, Brigham City, UT; Kristi, Phoenix, AZ; many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his son, Ward Fonnesbeck, parents: Verdun Fonnesbeck, Leone Nielson, and sister, Karla.
Graveside services will be Friday, September 3, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at the Brigham City Cemetery, 325 S. 300 E., Brigham City.
