Ferdinand "Fred" Molenaar passed away peacefully on June 7, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was born on June 29, 1944 in Rotterdam, Netherlands, the son of Johannes Molenaar and Hendrina Steinvoort. He lived most of his life in Utah where he graduated from Box Elder High School.
He proudly served our country in the Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. 
Fred married Margaret Ellen Vigil on October 30, 1965, they were later sealed in the Ogden LDS temple. They were married for 42 years, she passed away in 2007. 
He was a member of the LDS Church and worked for ATK for over 20 years and Autoliv for over 15 years. Fred loved collecting coins. He enjoyed the outdoors going fishing, hunting, and 4-wheeling. He adored spending time with his kids, often taking them to the hot air balloon festival.
Fred is survived by his children: Ada (Shelie) Ingram; Freddy (Brenda) Molenaar; siblings: Herbert (Francine) Molenaar; Ed (Pauline) Molenaar; Rienie (Sam) Vigil; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sweetheart Margaret, his parents, and mother-in-law Ruby Gonzales Vigil.
Services will be held on Wednesday June 14, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Myers Mortuary Chapel 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City, UT. Viewings will be Tuesday, June 13, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:00 to 9:40 a.m. at the Mortuary. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
