David William Williams 1945 ~ 2011 David William Williams passed away February 2, 2011 surrounded by family and friends after a sudden illness.He was born October 1, 1945, a son of Virgil L. Gillihan and Jean Rose Williams. He was raised by his grandparents: Roy E and Norma Giger Williams in Brigham City, UT. His name was changed and he became David W. Williams. He attended public schools in Brigham City, graduated from Box Elder High School and Weber State Univ. He served four years in the Air Force and was a veteran during the Vietnam War era. He met Carol Morrow on Thanksgiving of 1969 and married her on Christmas Day. She died in 1993. He was a police officer in Salt Lake City, worked for Holy Cross Hospital and then had a 25 year career in hospitality working for Sheraton, Westin and Starwood hotels. He is survived by his daughters: Jennifer Harris, Christina (Mitchell) Ragsdale and a granddaughter Caitlin Carol Harris; brother: Richard Gillihan; sisters: Nancy Gillihan Bush, Shirley Gillihan Scully and Kathy Gillihan. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. Salt Lake Regional Medical Center, Holy Cross Historical Chapel, 1050 East South Temple, Salt Lake City, UT. A second Memorial service will be held in Long Beach, CA at a later time. "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal." -Author Unknown

Big Red has moved on but his memory still resides large in many minds.  Sorry to see you go Dave but by leaving early, you and I missed out on some wild political talks.  I was always right and you never were.  I do miss you my friend, you are special and you and I have a bond like no other....kent nelson
