OGDEN - David Johnson, 70, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at his home. David, son of Marilyn Atcitty and Matthew J. Johnson, was born on June 27, 1945 in Berkeley, CA.

David attended Central Elementary School in Brigham City, Utah and is a graduate of Box Elder High School. He is a Vietnam Veteran who served in the Army. He was a longtime resident of the Marion Hotel.

David's life was filled with service for others. He volunteered with the Salvation Army as a "Bell Ringer." He performed various acts of kindness including yard work and odd jobs for the elderly around Ogden. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, fishing and riding his bike. He was a friend to many and made everyone laugh with his dry humor.

Surviving are his parents and siblings: Yazzie (Gail Bird) Johnson, Kerry Allen (Vera) Johnson, Carol Johnson, Linda Montez and Dale (ArLene) Johnson; dear friend Carmen Diaz, special niece, Star Williams and numerous other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Preceded in death by nieces, April and Cecilia.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S 100 E., Brigham City, UT.

Viewings will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 to 10:40 a.m. at the mortuary.

Internment will be at the Brigham City Cemetery with Military Honors Accorded.
